Thank you for increasing your coverage of Lebanon news. Zachary Daum is doing a good job.
I want to give a “Thank You” to the owners of Betty Ann Market.
A seafood counter was set up this morning for the holidays. It was so nice not to have to go out-of- town to purchase seafood.
I am looking forward to future improvements.
Thanks to the Mascoutah PD for putting on a great National Night Out! My kiddos had a great time and even won a prize. I twas nice to see all the community workers there for the kids to enjoy. Great job!
A sweet thank you to Truck #4 for buying my breakfast Saturday morning. The world is a better place because you are in it!!
Speaking of the world is a better place. Mr. Simmon welcomed former volleyball girls when they were bullied out. He is a tremendous caring person. Lots more students playing now.
Mascoutah is greatly blessed by having Rural Family Medicine and Dauber Pharmacy in our community. A great staff at both places! Our health and wellbeing give thanks.
Everyone keeps saying how Mascoutah is a town of VOLUNTEERS. Well on Saturday, 11/20/21, it was surely shown.
The Boy Scout Food Drive for the Mascoutah Food Pantry was held.
We wish to thank first off the Mascoutah Herald for the publicity of this event. Also, Boy Scout Troops 44 and 57. They all worked very hard. Also, the church of St. John United Church of Christ allowing the use of their Fellowship Hall, and the Food Pantry volunteers. In addition, there were some community volunteers helping that day just because it was the right thing to do.
In addition, we can not forget, without the community support, we could not have had such success. It was a great success!
-Thank you from the Mascoutah Food Pantry
The high school band and colorguard did an awesome job at half time at tonight’s game in the rain. Good luck tomorrow in Effingham. You guys and gals are very dedicated in playing at all of the football games. Your performances get better and better everytime you play.
I have just seen the obituary of a lovely man, Carroll Lollar. He and his wife Alice were regulars at the Macoutah Senior Center and a perfect example of “lifelong sweethearts”. They always had a smile for each other and those of us who knew them. As Alice progressed with Altzheimers, he tenderly cared for her and always had that look of love in his eyes. An obituary is a nice record of one’s accomplishments and life yet it often cannot capture the essence of a person’s true nature. Carroll and Alice were the kindest and most loving couple it has been my privilege to know.
I want to thank all employees throughout the country who continued to work through the COVID pandamic instead of applying for unemployment. I know the money was easy which made it tempting, but I applaud the ones who awoke every morning and headed to work. This Labor Day holiday is to salute you and thank you.
I agree completely!! My son worked so many hours at his job, when others quit or got sick. He worked morning to night. As I’m sure alot of others did. Kudos to the hard workers & all the health care workers! America would have completely been lost without you! Thankyou so much!!!
A big “Thank You” to Bishop Michael McGovern of Diocese of Belleville for throwing out the first pitch for the boys’ baseball tournament. That was very kind of him. God bless him.
What a great sight to see again! Lots of kids on the playground at MES!
The new scoreboards at the park on fields 4/5 are awesome. Big thanks to those who installed them
I agree. I think the MAC installed them with approval by the city
To the City: Thanks for fixing North Fifth St. between Poplar and Oak. – John Surmeier
I would like to give a huge thumbs up to the MIA and City Employees for putting on such a great homecoming. It was a much needed event for Mascoutah. Everyone worked hard to pull off such a successful event and deserves a huge pat on the back for their effort. JOB WELL DONE! It made Mascoutah feel much more normal than it has for the last year and a half. We needed this.
Thanks to all!
Big thumbs up to the city electric department crews. Our power when out on Saturday, July24, during the hottest part of the day. Turned out that power was out at 2 houses on Impala and 2 on Biscayne. The crew arrived and replaced a bad transformer. Kudos to the electric guys for coming out during the extreme heat and taking care of business.
Thank you to the red Chevy Cruizer who bought my coffee at McDonald’s today!!
Thanks to whomever is responsible for the planters along Main Street. It will be beautiful when they are in bloom. Another great addition to our city.
The planters are cheap and an eyesore, get a grip whoever posted they look beautiful.
Huge thanks to all the Mascoutah police, fire, and ambulance personnel who kept us safe this Independence holiday! We truly appreciate your dedication to the community.
Thumbs up to the homeowner’s on Hackberry Drive with the giant American flag hanging on their house. What a beautiful sight! God bless you and God bless America!
I’d like to thank the City Electric Department for working so hard to get the the new lights on N. County Road. Great job guys!
Thank you to the lifeguards that made the opening of the pool possible.
On Friday, I was at the Mascoutah City Cemetery and the company hired to take care of the property was there. They were mowing and then trimming around the tombstones. There was no grass blown onto the tombstones. They did such a fine job that I walked up and told them. Everyone needs to hear a “good job” once in awhile. Keep up the great work and thank you.
I’d like to say great job to the City of Mascoutah employees who worked so hard to get the pool opened this year.
Kudos to the Mascoutah school district to partner with Walgreens to host a Covid vaccine drive next Month. Let’s get all the kids 12 and up vaccined before school starts in August. Good Job!!
Kudos to Mascoutah and Walgreens for scheduling a vaccine clinic for the children that are 12 to 15 year olds. Let’s get the kids vaccined before school starts in the fall. Just they would have more.
Thank you to whomever bought my breakfast in the drive thru at McDonalds today. It was such a nice way to start my Monday.
