NGW Returns to Mascoutah for “Energy, Attitude, Toughness” at The Leu

Mascoutah, IL – New Genesis Wrestling (NGW) made a triumphant return to the Leu Civic Center on Saturday, August 24, presenting “Energy, Attitude, Toughness,” a thrilling evening of professional wrestling. This event, which has become a staple in the Mascoutah community since NGW’s debut in April 2023, served as a fundraiser for the Mascoutah Little Indians Football program, with a portion of every ticket sold going directly to support the youth team.

The night was packed with high-stakes matches and dramatic turns, kicking off with Kasie Clay’s victory over Vanessa Holiday. TJ Kellis followed with a win against Logan Ridge, setting the tone for an evening full of surprises.

One of the night’s most controversial moments came when El Coyote defeated Dexter Roswell via disqualification. Tensions between Roswell and his fellow New Deal members were palpable, hinting at a possible fracture within the group.

The NGW Tag Team Championships were on the line as The Fam faced off against The Omen. In a shocking post-match betrayal, Preacher turned on his partner SAVAGE, officially ending The Omen as a team and leaving fans in disbelief.

CW Graves delivered a stunning upset, defeating Sid Holland for the Chaotic Championship and ending Holland’s two-year undefeated streak. Meanwhile, Playboy Double H secured a victory over Ricky Cruz via count-out, adding another win to his record.

The Great Heathen Army emerged victorious against the Gruesome Twosome, and Tobias Storm successfully retained the NGW Lightning Division Championship by defeating Clay Huna.

The night’s main event saw Chris Kade retain the NGW Heavyweight Championship against Tyler Lee Deputy. The match’s aftermath, however, stole the show, as The New Deal attacked Deputy. NGW co-CEO Jason Halbert demanded that Dexter Roswell prove his loyalty by joining in the assault. To the crowd’s delight, Roswell instead delivered a Landslide Kick to Kade, signaling his departure from The New Deal and setting up a highly anticipated showdown on September 21st, where Roswell will challenge Kade for the NGW Heavyweight Championship.

The event not only provided unforgettable entertainment but also supported a worthy cause. “We always do our best to put on a good show and hope for a good turnout, but this one even more so because we want to raise as much money as we can for the Little Indians football program,” said NGW owner Justin Savage. “From all of us at NGW, we are honored to help the Little Indians in any way we could this season. We hope they have a successful season this year and will be cheering for them!”
