IDOT Work Underway on Main Street; No Parking Allowed Through July 17

MASCOUTAH — The Illinois Department of Transportation has begun roadway work on Main Street (Illinois Route 177) in Mascoutah, with construction scheduled to continue until July 17.
As part of the project, no parking is permitted on Main Street while work is underway. Motorists are encouraged to remove vehicles from the work zone and use alternate parking locations to avoid delays or possible towing.
The project includes milling and resurfacing the roadway, an interim improvement intended to extend the pavement’s service life until a future full reconstruction project can be completed. Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, reduced speeds and minor traffic delays while crews are working.
Residents and motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the area, watch for construction workers and equipment, and allow additional travel time during the project.
The City of Mascoutah and IDOT ask for the public’s patience and cooperation while the improvements are completed.
