Mickey Midas Aims to Take NGW Title at Endless Winter in Mascoutah
Midas will make an appearance in Mascoutah during the upcoming NGW (New Genesis Wrestling) event, Endless Winter on January 18. There he will attempt to take the NGW Heavyweight Title from Dexter Roswell.

The New Genesis Wrestling (NGW) event Endless Winter is set to bring high-energy action to Mascoutah’s Leu Civic Center on Saturday, January 18, at 7:00 PM. Among the many anticipated matches, Mickey Midas, a rising star in professional wrestling, will challenge Dexter Roswell for the NGW Heavyweight Championship in what promises to be one of the night’s most intense battles.
Midas’s journey into wrestling is as unique as his in-ring style. “I started young. My grandmother, who has since passed away, got me into wrestling as a kid. I was involved in gymnastics and theater, and wrestling became a perfect way to combine both,” Midas shared. He began training at 16 under LT Falk and Tony Falk in Nashville, Tennessee.
Since then, Midas has wrestled across the globe, gaining experience and recognition. He competed in Mexico in 2017, learning the Lucha Libre style, and worked with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he trained under legendary coach Rip Rogers. “Rip trained guys like Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and John Cena,” Midas said. “Training at OVW helped me prepare for the TV side of wrestling.”
Midas has also appeared on AEW (All Elite Wrestling), making his debut in 2022. “Wrestling for AEW was a dream come true,” he said. “This month marks my fifth time working with them. I’ve done security, been a seat filler, and, of course, wrestled.”

Beyond the titles, Midas also competed in Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), one of the most prominent independent wrestling promotions worldwide. His career has taken him to Fleetwood, Preston, Blackpool, and Manchester in the UK, which marked a pivotal chapter in his wrestling journey. During his tour there, he competed in various locations, including Fleetwood, Preston, Blackpool, and Manchester, showcasing his high-flying acrobatics and dynamic in-ring persona to international audiences. While in the UK, Midas won the CWE World Heavyweight Championship, solidifying his reputation as a formidable competitor on a global stage. Reflecting on the experience, Midas described it as a tremendous opportunity to learn and grow, blending his American style with the unique technical and fast-paced wrestling traditions of the UK.

Midas enters the NGW ring with high hopes of adding the NGW Heavyweight Championship to his collection. “Dexter Roswell, I’m coming to take your championship and add it to my collection. I hope you’re ready, because it’s not going to be an easy task,” Midas said confidently.
NGW co-owner Justin Silver acknowledged Midas’s impressive credentials. “This will be Dexter’s second title defense since winning the championship in October, and with Mickey’s experience, it may be the most challenging opponent he’s faced yet,” Silver said.
