Joann Sheffield (Hubbard), 92, of Lebanon, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 9th at Evercare of Lebanon nursing home.  Born on July 7th, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky, Joann was the beloved daughter of Curtis and Henrietta Hubbard. She was a devoted wife to Charles for 62 years and a loving mother to Denise (Brombosz), Eric, and Ann (Dunevant). Joann was known for her loving kindness, generosity, and always-hopeful disposition as-well-as her passion for serving the various communities in which she lived. As the wife of a United Church of Christ pastor, Joann served her communities most often through her work with the church. She dedicated her life to her family, always offering support and encouragement. Joann is survived by her sister, Betty (Busch), children, Eric and Ann, and grandchildren, Joel, Jonathan, Devin, Stefan, Rachel, and Ezra. She was preceded in death by husband Charles, sister Helen (Woodward), brother Curtis, Jr., and daughter, Denise. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joann’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America.
