Carol Jean Seibert

Carol Jean Seibert, nee Ullrich, 77, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 1, 1946, in Breese, IL died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Addington Place, Shiloh, IL.

Carol had the perfect mix of working outside the home and being a homemaker, working just a few months out of the year during tax season.  This provided her the opportunity to have more time at home with the kids and be able to help on the family farm.  She retired from Regions Bank Trust Dept. in Belleville. 

Carol was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mascoutah where she served on various committees.  She taught Sunday School for over 45 years.  Carol spent a great deal of her time volunteering in the Mascoutah community as a school board member for 20 years and a 4-H leader for 39 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bernice, nee Keck, Ullrich.

Carol is survived by her husband, Gary Seibert whom she married on July 24, 1971, in New Baden, IL; her children, Bill Seibert, Chrissy (Dean) Benson, Sharon (Jason) Castillo; grandchildren, Sophia and Nick Seibert, Brooklyn, Alyssa and Brady Benson, and Cayden Castillo; sister, Judy Wallin; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation:  From 3 to 7 PM Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and from 9 to 10 AM Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.    

Funeral:  A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. John’s United Church of Christ with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. A burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
