Charlotte H. “Blondie” Wombacher

Charlotte H. “Blondie” Wombacher, nee Albers, 89, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 8, 1935, in Lively Grove, IL died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at her home.

Charlotte retired alongside her husband, Dan, at Dan’s Used Cars and Parts and White Top Inn Tavern in Mascoutah, IL.  She was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church and the Women’s Bowling League in Mascoutah.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Dora, nee Wienstroer, Albers, her husband,  Daniel A. Wombacher, whom she married on  May 25, 1955 in Lively Grove, IL and who died on Mar. 26, 2022, great grandson, William Arthur E. Beam, three brothers, Ardell (Sally), Walter, and Gene (Pat) Albers, four sisters, Loretta (Erwin) Frederking, Dorothy (Allen) Juenger, Virginia (Melvin) Gaubatz, Judith (Norvin) Frederking, brother-in-law, James (Sandy) Wombacher.

Surviving are four children, Martin (Chelsa) Wombacher of Mascoutah, Michelle (Steve) Bann of New Baden, IL, Myron (Melissa) Wombacher of Mascoutah, Melissa (Kevin) Elbe of Mascoutah; nine grandchildren; Ashley (Travis) Beam, Katie (Chad) Kimmle, Shelby (Reid) Ritzheimer, Dalton Maciura, Allie (Andy) Hood, Paige Bann, McKenzie (Andy) Siebert, Ryanne (Collin) Renth, Kaylee Elbe; six great grandchildren, Jack and Wade Beam, Tucker, Abby, Adalynn Kimmle, Charlotte Hood; sister, Sandy (Robert) Klein; sister-in-law, Viola Albers; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: From 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, and 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral:  A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
