Barbara W. Hill

Barbara W. Hill, nee Treat, 82, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 30, 1942, in San Antonio, TX died Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Barbara was a retired teacher for Mascoutah School District 19.  She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Alice R., nee Hoff, Treat, her husband, Maurice G. Hill, whom she married on July 13, 1963, at Scott AFB, IL and who died on Nov. 22, 2020.

Barbara is survived by her son, John W. (Leta Nikulshina) Hill; two grandchildren, Lydia and Vladimir Hill; a great granddaughter, Rose Hill; and a sister, Terilee Collier.

VISITATION: From 9 to 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. John United Church of Christ with Rev. Cherie Hambleton officiating. Interment will be in St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Dexter, MI.
