Troy Bullard

Troy Bullard, of Ste. Genevieve, passed away peacefully at his home on April 22, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 83.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne (Myers) Bullard; his three sons, Zac (Stephanie), Nathan (Amy), and Gabriel (Linda); and his cherished grandchildren, Beckett, Joe, Olivia, Bonnie, and Anna. He is also survived by his sisters, Roseanne Hutson and Patricia Bullard; his brother-in-law, Arthur Myers, Jr.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents, William Jasper Bullard and Rachelle Elea (Seelund) Bullard; his brothers, Arthur Ray Bullard and William Jasper “Jack” Bullard; and his sisters, Esther Roth and Bonita Rehm.

Born in Kentucky, Troy lived in Neely’s Landing before growing up in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Many may remember him as “Big T,” the proprietor of Big T’s Long House in the 1960s. His career as an inspector for the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) took him to Rolla, Missouri; Logan, West Virginia; Morganfield, Kentucky; and Mascoutah, Illinois.

Troy will be remembered for his deep love of family, his quick wit, and his passions for gardening, music, history, and sports— as a spectator, participant, and official.

In accordance with Troy’s wishes, there will be no burial. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on Park Drive in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Journey Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ACLU in Troy’s memory: https://action.aclu.org/give/now.
